A Taste of the Future

This will be a little tid-bit of a post!
Today I made the most delicious smoothie ever, and it was simple... and healthy too! {that's always a plus}
It was just frozen pieces of watermelon with a little juice, and two spoonfuls of Greek yogurt! It was just the right amount of creamy goodness!

yum! I already want another one!
I worked for my dad this morning/afternoon, but I had to leave early cuz my "t.o.m" {time of the month} had arrived and I felt/feel extremely crappy. boo. but this past Sunday was my cousin Andreas wedding! It was beautiful and she looked amazing.  There is three sisters in her family, and four in mine, and although growing up they were always 5-7 years older than us we could each have "our sister" {oldest, middle and younger sisters} I was a middle with my cousin Terra {who got married last summer in an outside hipster whimsical wedding} Growing up we would have family sleepover weekends and I remember this so predominately from my childhood. They were always just the best role models... and I really had missed that. Seeing all three of them this weekend made me miss them immensely, but I am still thankful for the impact that they had on me! { the Lucio girls are amazing} Well now all there are married and it makes me look forward to when I will be following in there footsteps! It was nice to have a little taste of the future!

Simply Reality

Yes Nicole and I had planned on going up to Costa Mesa CA for the day.... but the 405 freeway was closed which caused extreme traffic! {boo for no way to get there in a reasonable time}
So we ended up just postponing the trip! We still did end up
 hanging out though.
Tea in the morning

This afternoon I went to Vanankia {our favorite coffee shop}
We played a "Bolderdash" which is a fun little board game! It was really fun, and beautiful Tara
brought her new man.... it was fun to see them together! aww there too
cute!

.....once the group had left Nicole and I stayed and worked on the blog for a little.
This is when I decided to change the name of my blog, it wasn't that I hated
it before. It was just my indecisiveness which led me to this decision.
So now it is officially
SweetlySophie {and I think this should stick} ehkk
It makes me feel like i have a new fresh blog!

"Urba Out" and of course we had to go check out the clearance
at Urban Outfitters! Yay I got a cute sweater, and yes I know that it is not
exactly sweater wearing season! But I should get some use out of it still!
ahhh how I love the Urbs!

quick story of the outfit!
striped button down- thrift find
green draped sweater- thrift find
boots -reflections $8

 It was a twisted to the original planned day, but it still ended up to be fun! Although I was bummed that we didn't get to go on our day road trip! The day still ended up to be fun!

there is no way to see how much of a mess it is....
but I'm sure you'll take my word for it!

The Stars and Stripes

    We all have something to be thankful rather it seems like it or not. Hello people it is the 4th of July, if it were not for those who fight and have fought for our freedom who knows where our country would be! thinking about the past 4th of July's in my life....They have always been full of fun; parties, watermelon eating contest, flags, red white and blue, funny outfits that only go together because they have the colors of our county's flag in them, and spending time with friends and family.
Beautiful America

I don't know too much about this picture... but I have always loved it! I love that the people in the background look so shocked that it seems like the soldier kissed her spontaneously. I love the innocents and timeless first kiss look of this photo! If I am correct I believe it was taken after World War II was over, and all over the country people were celebrating! Someday I would love to go to New York and take a replica picture like this with my future husband. Cheers for the Land of the brave and the free!

      Although I have to work at CB cupcakes as usual, its okay because the men and women fight for our freedom every day, and for today are being honored as well as our freedom!This is such a great country, it is simply the best around. Thank you Lord for letting me be born in this wonderful place. Oh America how I love you <3

-Happy Fourth of July
