Romeo, Romeo where art tho Romeo?

No, I did not die! I'm alive and well. I am sorry for slacking on the blogging lately... I suppose I've just been really busy. Even with that, I have not had any real new photo shoots or fun pictures to post. But I want to tell you guys about something for a while... and since Valentines day was yesterday I figured it would be most appropriate!

Verona Italy
Last summer I went to Europe with about 35 people from my senior class for 19 days, Crazy? yes I know its hard to believe I was actually there. Well while we were there we had the chance to go visit Verona Italy; specifically Via Galilei, n. 3-37133 VERONA. For those of you who do not know the love story of Romeo and Juliet, this is where the were said to have lived. It is a story of two young lovers, who have to overcome struggles. There parents both equally hated the other family, in other words rival families.  Well I got to go to the place where Juliet's balcony, her statue, and grave is. Well at this court yard there is a wall full of letter with people with broken hearts or couples whom are in love. But there is another unique thing about this place aside from how much you can feel the broken hearts the sadness, but also the joy and the hope.

The writings of the hearts of the visitors from all over the world

Juliet's balcony

There are these Lady's; Juliet's secretary's.
Well I wrote Juliet a letter just asking about love, life and a way to find hope that one day I just might find my Romeo. Little did I know when I walked out to the mail box just three short months later I would receive a letter from Verona Italy.
I opened it and she basically told me to be patient and follow my heart.

Even though it was a short letter, it meant the world to me! I hold that letter so tightly it is really moving. It gave me hope for love again. Something that I lost before.Even though I still have not found my Romeo I know because of her that he is out there and I will find him.

I hope that this will encourage you who have not found your Romeo or Juliet, that they are out there and just follow your heart!
I wish that all of you had a wonderful Valentines day!
                     xoxo Sincerely,
Sophie

Silhouette Bicycle Rides

After working at the church pre-school it was a beautiful day and I knew we just had to do something really fun outside! So Marina Brielle and I went for a bike ride. We road for a few miles up some streets and down some. Till we ended up at Henry's to get some lunches. I was being really indecisive about what I wanted to eat. And it helped that the deli man was really cute ( dark with blue blue eyes!). Marina was in love... So in the end I choose some potato salad ( so we could talk to him) and a juice drink, it was satisfying.

My Lunch

We continued our ride and we ended up at the local park. I sat there laying in the sun and letting its rays hit my skin. It was good to just soak up the sun and the friendship. I danced around till I fell over! ha I don't know why but I was feeling so much like a child!

I was really dizzy!

As we sat there we heard a police helicopter saying they were searching for a man and they went on to continue the description. Marina looks over her solder to see the man she was describing we got up, grabbed our bikes and ran down the grassy hill. I found a cop and told her about the guy..... and me and the other girls were super freaked out, I was thinking how he could be some big criminal or kidnapper and I was all flustered! Then I was especially worried I think because I was feeling like a little girl all day.... But anyways When we told the woman police it turned out he was mentally handicapped and had a mental capacity of a five year old and he had run away. She then went on and said they just had to find him to keep him from accidentally harming himself or others. feewwwwf  : / that was a relief!
So that was the most exciting part of the day!

We got back on the bikes and headed back to school.

Arm and Arm with Tea and Coffee

As of now, I have been back at school for a week. I have spent the week going to new classes, dropping and adding classes, and figuring out my new schedule for this semester. I'm taking a whopping seventeen units... so I will be extremely busy for the next few months. But this week was not only books and brains, I also got to hangout with my friends whom I had not seen all of winter break!

The first couple days back, it almost felt sereal as if it was not real. It was enjoyable to be with all of my new friends from college. This week we just did fun things like Brielle, Ashlee and I got to have tea when we both had break from classes. Another morning this week, I painted as the sun was streaming in through the window cile. It was so enjoyable to have the warm sun hit my hair in the rather chilly dorm room.

On thursday, I got a lovely visit from Jesslan and Nicole. Jess had class and Nicole hungout with me and went to our Arobics class ( which apparently is a hip-hop class they just forgot to tell us when we signed up) But she got to watch me be incredibly awkward and embarrassing trying to dance the moonwalk and do the wave across my body from finger tip to finger tip. Then I gave her a tour of the campus. Once Jesslan and Brielle were out of class the four of us went to a local coffee shop. I got a cafe mocha it was simply delicious.

After having a salad for dinner, we went to the men's basketball game for a while. As we sat in the dorm room I was talking about cutting bangs into my hair... and after some peer pressure I went out on a limb and cut my hair! I know crazy right! I still can't believe that I did it! Previously I had been growing out my side bangs for about a year and they were almost the length of my first layer... I'm glad I put a little change in my look for this new year and new semester!
Crazy Crazy!

A Farewell to 2010

An Interesting evening of sorts....
Last night was new years eve, and most eighteen year olds probably.... go to a dance party, a club, have a party of there own, hangout with their boy friend, set off fire works, basically party hearty. But I suppose I am not a typical teenager because my New Years did not exactly consist of these things. But I did start my countdown to the new year around three in the afternoon. Luckily I was not alone on my lame end of 2010. My friend Nicole and I did a various of different things, we walked from her house to a mall of sorta called the Forum and went to Anthropology. Then on our way back we decided to drive down by the beach and go to the Panikain (a local coffee shop). By now it was around 5:30 ish, but we still had some time before 2011 finally arrived. So we decided to go driving we went and watched the ocean for a while. Around 7ish we were getting hungry so we ventured over to Coco's randomly and we got free bread and a side of vegetables...But as we walked in the man who was about to seat us says "Lauren?" asking me if that was who I was, I was taken so off guard and confused. The rest of the meal was more uncomfortable our waitress was just kinda strange and Nicole and i decided she didn't like us.
New Years Eve Dinner!

mustered at Coco's

Finally time was passing and it was around 9 when Nicole remembered a girl from her church was having a party, and before I knew it we were there. Just to fill you in (There is this guy named Luke who in high school I always thought he was cute. But I never talked to him before. But now over three years later I don't find him quite as intriguing although now he talks to me alot on Facebook, and over texting but not in person. I don't respond a ton, just because a relationship should not be just on the Internet.) Any who, he was also randomly at this party for new years. Nicole and I really didn't know anyone but each other and a few others so we were awkwardly there, but Luke did not even say a thing in person! Which personally to me seems childish or wimpy. Its not that I like the guy, I just find it weird that I don't even know the kid. Well the night went on and I just socialised and as we all brought in the new year we cheered and drank sparkling cider. Wanting to leave as soon as possible we headed for the door. So as we were leaving he (Luke) shouts out after I walked past him in a group of people "Hi Sophie" really fast and short almost a mumble. Over the music I said hello as I was walking out the door. Then Nicole and i got in the car, we just looked at each other and laughed at out super fun, awkward, strange eventful night that ended a wonderful year! Goodbye 2010

Magnified Emotion

Whats in a song? Lyrics, tunes, sound, rhythm, heart.... i think it is for us to decide. I believe there are two kinds of people out there in this world that to listen to music, there are two kinds of people out there. There is the lyric people, the people like me who listen to the lyrics, the meaning of the song and annalize the hell out of it. We are the ones that can feel the words in our heart the kind that cause us to think or relate with the musician to such a strong extent that you feel like they know exactly how you feel and know exactly what your going through. Or the music people, kind that listen to the music just to dance, they are the ones who like the beat, the sounds that get them off their feet and put them in the mood to move. I sorta think there is magic in lyrics, new songs or songs that i have never heard always seem to find me when the lyrics fit perfectly with what I am going through.

I don't know what it is about music  that can change my mood, or give me hope, but all I know is I wouldn't know what to do without it.
This was a gift for my best friend Julias Birthday

I love the look of boots with high socks
It gives a pop of fun to your legs!
I think God gave us music, ultimately to worship Him. But not solemnly for that reason alone, for a way to be creative, for a way to connect with each other, a way to magnify emotions. God has told us multiple times to sing to him in worship. He has also blessed us with many gifts, some are good at athletics, others are better at artistic things much like music. So he us humans beautiful voices, or talents with instruments, but whatever it is we need to use it to glorify our Creator. Music is an emotional outlet, it is a way for the artists to realise there emotions, and those who listen to the music receive an emotional experience.

This is not fact what so ever, it is just my take on the subject. But one fact is that I love music, all kinds, i love that it allows you to cope with the lyrics in the songs a way that nothing else can do. Or it allows you to forget your worries and be carefree and just dance.

A so called Adventure.... or a funny insident!

This has no depth to it, it is simply a,
Funny story..... last Saturday a group of us up here at collage went to the Spectrum ( a local outdoor mall) there were about 20 of us. We walked around and just enjoyed the smells and sounds of Christmas time. Finally our reservation at the Cheese Cake factory was called, and we followed in a line as the weightier sat us at our table. We all were in conversation until our orders were ready. For me I was sharing with two of my friends (Ashlee and Laila) When we got our dish we began eating, just to find a hair in the food.... which was the start of the interesting evening....
You see toward the end of our meal Laila asked me to come with her on an adventure to find the rest room, so we began to hunt for it. I was trying to not slip on the freshly waxed floors, but that was a fail and of course I fell. but that's not the best part, we go to the restroom and it was one of those one stall one person kinds, so Laila offered to use the men's. I came out of the women's and looked her but I didn't see her. And so of course I thought she was still in the restroom. Then I proceeded to knock and push the doors open.... only to my surprise it was not Laila standing in front of me. Instend it was a well put together suprisingly tall asian MAN! It was like I was a dear in head for lights, abruptly I turned around coved my eyes and hurried back to the table. As the man stood in confusion. But Laila was still not there! Finally, she returned to the table and she told me she was stuck in the stall and the "MAN" that I had seen used the urinal while she was in there! I told her my side of the story. Oh yeah and the man from the restroom was sitting right across from us. In the end Laila could not have been any more right. It was an ADVENTURE to the bathroom.

The group of us out on the town!

To be forever in your arms

God created man and realized that he needed a partner. “And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from the man HE MADE INTO A WOMAN, and He brought her to the man.” (Genesis 2:21) Recently a group of my friends and I were talking, and it makes you wonder if there is that one guy or girl out there for you. Like "the one" or whatever! I honestly don't know, I do know that I have been praying for my husband since I was in the eighth grade. But I have yet to find him, or maybe I already know him, and I don't know what the impact this guy will have in my life. I was also recently asked if I thought I would marry any Vanguard guys? I have to say that I think this would be such a cool thing to happen... The Vanguard men are great men of God and gentlemen ( there is always those exceptions), but so I guess it would be a yes i could possibly marry a VU man someday. ha I want to find a man that will hold me forever, as God will always hold me.

I made this on polyvore http://www.polyvore.com/
I was just feeling creative I guess, and this went with this post ha.

-Today is thanksgiving, it was so low key. I came home yesterday, and got to hangout with my family, and friends! That is what I am truly thankful for is my family and friends. But also for school, and that I am so blessed to go to this university. My sister Olivia and I helped cook dinner and we had such a wonderful meal. But we ate over five hours ago and I'm still full! ha oh the fun thanksgiving.
